Social responsibility of the Public Company “Fortuna-bank” is directed towards supporting charitable projects of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund “Star Dream”.
Cooperation of the financial institution and the charitable fund makes it possible to solve locally the problem of social orphanage in Ukraine. Two non-state orphan asylums in the Kyiv Oblast are examples of such cooperation. These are educational institutions such as children’s home “Cradle of children’s hope” and the family-type children’s home of Volodymyr Baturskyi and Tetiana Baturska.
Fortuna-bank considers our support as a real contribution to social projects that confirm their reasonability in the course of 10 years. The attractiveness of the projects of the “Star Dream” fund lies in the fact that providing help for orphans and protection of their interests is the primary task. It was the key argument for our bank in choosing the social partner.
Having studied the specificity of the needs of orphan asylums, Fortuna-bank is directing its help towards solving those problems which at first seem disinteresting to a potential philanthropist. The classical example of distorted charity is to feed a child at an orphan house. Nonetheless, support can be many-sided. One only needs to find an object to apply his help to. The Bank’s specialists have found an object of their participation. This is targeted financial help to pay bills for utility services provided to the orphanage.
Fortuna-bank considers its social responsibility not as an instrument for improving image but as readiness to participate within its power in solving current problems of our country and contributing to the development of those ones who cannot take care of themselves. These are orphans in our case.
The Bank’s team believe that help should be directed towards achieving certain results. The results of the non-state orphanages under the Bank’s patronage are striking: 115 children have come through the children’s home “Cradle of children’s hope”, 94 of which have been adopted. The Baturskyis family have given better life to 20 children from the streets. The birth of a tiny Iana in the family of former social orphans has become the greatest event of the Baturskyis family.
Fortuna-bank sincerely takes care of orphans. Before the International Children's Day the Baturskyis family have received as a gift a large plasma TV set with wishes of joy, love, patience and hope.
